The 32nd International Symposium on Capillary Chromatography and the 5th GCXGC Symposium will be held at the Palazzo dei Congressi, Riva del Garda, Italy, in May.
The meeting, being held 21–22 May, will review the latest developments in stationary phase technologies for liquid chromatography. It will also include lectures on emerging stationary phase chemistries, specialised functional phases and small particle size packings The event will be of interest to all practitioners of separation science, but in particular those using liquid chromatography for problem solving and method development.
From 1–4 April 2008, Munich will once again be the stage for Analytica 2008 — a leading trade fair offering marketable solutions in analytics, laboratory technology, biotechnology and the life sciences.

The 59th Annual Pittsburgh Conference and Exposition on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy (Pittcon 2008) will be held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, from 2–6 March, 2008. Pittcon 2008's Technical Program will be in the format of invited symposia, organized contributed oral sessions, contributed oral sessions, workshops, new product forums and poster sessions to cover the latest developments in the traditional and emerging disciplines of analytical chemistry and applied spectroscopy. Following on from last year's success, the networking sessions will be expanded.
The Tenth International Symposium on Hyphenated Techniques in Chromatography and Chromatographic Analysers (HTC-10) will be held in Bruges, Belgium, from 30 January to 1 February. The event commemorates 20 years of dissemination of scientific knowledge in the field.
The Department of Chemistry of the National University of Singapore and the Singapore National Institute of Chemistry are hosting the Singapore International Chemistry Conference 5 (SICC-5) from 16 to 19 December. It is being held at the Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. A biennial conference dedicated to promoting advances in chemistry, it aims to reflect significant scientific developments in physical and analytical chemistry, to discuss new ideas and trends, and to raise the profile of chemical sciences in Singapore. This year, SICC-5 will be held in conjunction with the 7th Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Microscale Separation and Analysis (APCE 2007). Keynote speakers include:
