Incredible storage capacity at the touch of a button
The home user can now have 1 TB of storage at the touch of a button.
Buffalo Technology has announced a latest addition to its portfolio of Network Attached Storage (NAS) products. The LinkStation
Pro Duo [LS-W1.0TGL/R1] is designed for small office and home users (SoHo) wanting a cost-effective storage solution. The
device offers a substantial 1 TB storage capacity, with RAID 0 and RAID 1 functionality options for additional security and
resilience. The two 500 GB drives can also be accessed remotely via any web browser when users are out of the office. The
large storage size and compact design of the LinkStation Pro Duo make it ideal as a main storage device. Back-ups can be made
via a LAN connection to other Buffalo LinkStation devices and to external USB drives. For the SMB market, the LinkStation
Pro Duo provides an additional storage or backup option, with easy integration into an existing network via Active Directory.
Buffalo's web access feature allows users to instantly and securely access all digital files stored on the LinkStation Pro
Duo, via an internet connection anywhere in the world. The free on-line service also allows remote workers across different
departments in a networked office environment, or users in different geographic regions, to retrieve data from the device,
quickly and easily.
The LinkStation Pro Duo is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista and supports Mac OS X and Apple Bonjour.
